Chanel 2011 Fall Haute Couture

Here are a few of my favourite looks from Chanel from the 2011 Fall Haute Couture Collection. Starry night seems to be a theme for this season across many runways. D&G has a collection full of beautiful stars. I have a love for the night sky and the beautiful moon so to say I love this is an understatement. The lace over the models eyes are like sunglasses for night or a fancy funeral.

I love the flared out hips on the the first dress because I don't really have hips and I imagine this dress giving me the hourglass figure I deserve :) The colourful detail on the second dress with the see-through fingerless gloves gives this piece a timeless modern 40's feel. The third dress is a bird just wanting to fly - in a good way. No, I don't want to look like a bird but I can imagine this dress flapping it wings around me :) I could care less for the boots to be quite honest. The fourth outfit is casual chic, I simply love black and white together and the tank adds all the glamour it needs.

Alice + Olivia: Resort 2012

I need to live in a resort town just to wear all these outfits. I love Alice + Olivia (as you know if you ever read my blog), they pin point my style almost exactly. However, that said I am not a single designer lover. I am a lover of MANY designers - some of the bigger names; Chanel, Gucci, Rodarte - you get the picture. Today I am here to show you my favourite Alice + Olivia Resort 2012 Collection pieces. I love resort collections because they are smaller than regular collections and therefore easier to pick my favourites. Alice + Olivia was a hit in my books on almost EVERY SINGLE resort look but here are the top picks :)

Passport to Prana

This week I will start using my awesome Passport to Prana pass. The pass is sold online, here. For only $20 you get to visit 9 yoga studios, one time each to check em out. When I heard about this pass I had to have one because I was looking for a new yoga studio for the summer. I love Moksha (who is also included on the pass) but just wanted a different series for the summer months.

I love how all the studios are in the middle of the city which is where I conveniently live :) If you are looking to try out a bunch of studios but don't want to shell out the sometimes pricey drop in fees - Passport to Prana lets you try before you buy (at full price) so get one and I'll see you in downward dog :) heehee - Note: The pass deal expires at the end of June so get yours and start going to classes asap!

In Motion

I've recently discovered the HDR option on my iPhone camera. I love it. If you take a photo while you or your subject is in motion the HDR option actually takes two photos - one that is focused and still and the other slightly blurry creating a ghost behind your subject. I love option 2. Here are 2 photos I took of lovely looking strangers.
